There is Francesco Bagnaia and the others. In any case, this is the impression left by the Italian after the first Grand Prix of the season, Sunday March 10, in Losail (Qatar). The reigning double world champion, in the race for a hat-trick which would bring him closer to the greatest, gave the competition no chance by hitting very hard from the start.
The Ducati rider, who undoubtedly has the best bike in the field, took advantage of an extremely aggressive start to take control, from the first lap, when he started in 5th position. Irresistible, the Italian gradually increased his lead by managing his tires perfectly to sign an undeniable 19th victory in MotoGP.
He beat the South African Brad Binder (KTM) and the Ducati of the Spaniards Jorge Martin, who started in pole position, and Marc Marquez, finally back at the highest level. The French Fabio Quartararo (11th) and Johann Zarco (12th), who started too far on the grid to hope to play the leading roles, will have to wait until the next race, March 24 in Portugal, to hope to shine more.
