In this adaptation of the eponymous book by Emmanuèle Bernheim, the one who was revealed as a teenager in La Boum, plays a woman who helps her father, played by an unrecognizable André Dussollier, to die after a stroke. When he wakes up, diminished and dependent, this man curious about everything, passionately loving life, does not wish to live thus weakened. A long process then begins where the director plays on the joy of living and the desire to die with dignity. A film which had also marked the return to the Croisette of François Ozon and especially of Sophie Marceau during the 74th Cannes Film Festival. The immortal young teenager of La boum had again dazzled by her chic and her flamboyant naturalness.

But for her last appearance on the red carpet and in front of photographers, Sophie Marceau decided to put away haute couture dresses and jewelry from great jewelers. Indeed, for the premiere in Madrid of the film by François Ozon, which had mixed success in France, the actress wanted to mark the occasion on Thursday January 27. The star made the bet to wear a fairly classic outfit, far from the standards of this kind of event. Onlookers could see her dressed in straight-cut black jeans, enhanced with a pussy-bow blouse in black and red with Japanese-inspired motifs. To complete her outfit, Sophie Marceau donned a pair of cowboy boots. A chic look that hits the bullseye once again.
