Obtaining Glaire Eggs in Diablo 4
In Diablo 4, while you can obtain fragments of agony from Grigoire, the Galvanizing Saint (if you’re the one summoning him), Glaire Eggs require you to defeat another boss. Specifically, these eggs are acquired by battling the Echo of Varshan or various World Bosses, but only in a Torment difficulty setting.
As with other bosses, summoning the Echo of Varshan is necessary, and the process occurs in the Evil Burrow, which can be somewhat complex. For detailed summoning instructions, check the section below.
If you’d prefer not to take on the Echo of Varshan directly, you can also obtain Mucus Eggs by transmuting summoning materials. Simply visit the Alchemist in any major city to exchange different resources for Glaire Eggs.

Summoning the Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4
To summon the Echo of Varshan in the Evil Burrow, situated in the Hawezar region, you’ll need either Evil Hearts or Evil Body Caches. These summoning materials can be acquired through various methods.
Evil Hearts, essential for invoking the tormented Varshan, may drop from defeating goblins, opening offerings during Infernal Waves, completing an Infernal Chord, or accessing chests at the end of nightmare dungeons and caches in the Tree of Whispers. It’s important to note that these resources are only available in Torment difficulty levels; players in lower world settings will be unable to acquire them.
For evil body caches, an alternative summoning resource, you can craft them at the Alchemist using the following items:
- 1 Blackened Femur + 1 Swirling Protection + 5 Veiled Crystals
- 1 Gurgling Head + 1 Swirling Protection + 5 Veiled Crystals
- 1 Shaking Hand + 1 Swirling Protection + 5 Veiled Crystals
You can obtain these body parts through several activities:
- Complete Murmurs of the Dead activities for the Tree of Whispers on World Level 3 or 4, which can spawn an elite monster known as Grotesque Debtor. Defeating it often rewards you with a body part.
- Finish missions for the Tree of Whispers at World Level 3 or 4 to receive a reward cache, typically containing a body part.
- Defeat Blood Jouvencelles during Infernal Waves.
- Eliminate treasure goblins or world bosses.
- Open basic or mastery chests from Legion events.
After gathering all the components, make your way to the Tree of Whispers located north of Hawezar. Here, you’ll discover the entrance to a lair called the Evil Burrow. It’s a small dungeon with several enemies to defeat before you reach the boss room. Simply interact with the altar to summon the boss using the collected components.
