United States: the country paralyzed by a new winter storm

In the United States, as in dakota du Sud, a wall of snow suddenly appeared on the roads yesterday, Wednesday 22 February. Visibility on the roads was almost zero, making traffic conditions extremely perilous. At nightfall, a motorway area is full, filled with heavy goods vehicles. “We were having dinner and the road conditions suddenly deteriorated. We said to ourselves (…), it’s not worth taking the risks”says Ben Skogquisttruck driver.

1500 flights canceled

AT Salt Lake city (United States), some decided to take out their skis to get around. A powerful winter storm hit the country with spectacular snowfall, up to 60 centimeters by location. More than 1500 flights had to be cancelled. About 280,000 homes were without electricity across the country yesterday. The storm is expected to last a week.
