A tragedy occurred in the context of Lake Powell in the United States, a huge artificial body of water created on the Colorado River: on Saturday August 13, 2022 two people died after the crash of a plane, a Cessna 207A, which had six passengers and a pilot on board. Two of them did not survive according to local information. The Parisian revealed their identities, they are French tourists who were taking part in a leisure flight as part of their excursion in the American West.
The craft struck the surface of the water following a technical problem. “The two women, the minors and the pilot managed to get out of the rubble, injured, before being picked up by a tourist boat. But the two men would have sunk with the carcass. They would still be missing“, reports The Parisian.

Finally, the daily specifies that the survivors will be repatriated as soon as the American authorities investigating the tragedy allow it. In July in France, it was also a Cessna type passenger plane that had been the subject of an accident. The amateur pilot had to land his plane off the island of Ré.
