Friday April 26, the central United States faced a series of tornadoes, which stand like walls in the middle of the roads. Caught by the wind, a heavy truck is thrown onto the opposite lane and ends up in the ditch. Immediately, motorists came to help the driver.

“It was scary”

The two states of Nebraska and Iowa are particularly affected by these tornadoes. In their wake, the swirling monsters left significant damage. In Elkhorn, a town of 6,000 inhabitants, entire neighborhoods were devastated. Residents describe the shock when the violent winds passed. “We got home as quickly as possible (…) we heard that everything was flying around us, it was scary”, says a mother. A provisional report shows at least six injured.
