In California (United States), a highway was partially blocked following the fall of thousands of 1 and 20 dollar bills, causing a rush of motorists.
A veritable shower of dollars hit a section of highway in California, a state in the Western United States. The unusual scene was filmed and posted on social networks by an influencer, when an armored van dropped thousands of tickets. “This is the craziest thing I have ever seen”exclaims the young woman. In the images, drivers on site stop to collect 1 and 20 dollar bills.
The euphoria scenes were however short-lived, since the police intervened on the scene, addressing motorists who collected tickets. “We are working with the FBI. So I strongly suggest, if anyone has collected cash, to take it immediately to a police station. “, explains Sergeant Curtis Martin, police officer of the California Highway Patrol. Police have already arrested two people for blocking the highway during the ticket harvest.
