(New York) The United States Civil Aviation Agency (FAA) announced on Monday the opening of an investigation into Boeing, to determine whether the American aircraft manufacturer carried out the required inspections of its planes, and whether documents have not been falsified by employees.
This investigation aims to find out whether Boeing properly conducted mandatory inspections of the aircraft’s wing-to-fuselage electrical connections “on certain 787 Dreamliner aircraft,” the FAA said in an email.
