Unanimous on junk | The duty

As much as I welcome a unanimous vote in the National Assembly concerning an allegiance to a king who does not deserve so much, I wonder how many votes are missing for the rest of what could happen in this Quebec where one wonders how many more centuries it will take for everyone to be well housed, fed and educated.

How many votes are needed to stop real estate speculation specifically on income properties of all kinds, including seniors’ housing and all the others who are struggling. How many votes are needed to establish that urban sprawl comes from the construction of three-storey houses served by highways that allow those individuals who own them to return home in their car in 15 minutes.

How many votes are missing for us to stop considering newcomers and those established only as providers of income and their offspring as pariahs. How many votes are needed to consider the rest of life as part of the community: fauna and flora, trees, coasts, lakes and rivers.

This unanimous vote seems to me to be purely cosmetic in the face of the crying needs for the common good that this government has nothing to do with. Our elected officials behave like sovereigns who are unanimous on junk.
