The United Nations condemned on Friday November 4 the bombing of an ambulance which left fifteen people dead the same day in Gaza. Regarding this strike, the Israeli army claims to have targeted members of Hamas using the vehicle, which the Palestinian Islamist organization denied.

“I am horrified”said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a statement, adding that “the images of bodies scattered in the street in front of the hospital are heartbreaking”. The Palestinian Red Crescent clarified on Saturday that one of its vehicles had been hit “by a missile from Israeli forces” while he was about two meters from the entrance to Al-Chifa hospital, the largest in Gaza, where thousands of displaced people have taken refuge.

The Hamas Ministry of Health reported on Friday that 15 people were killed and 60 injured in this bombing, a report confirmed on Saturday by the Red Crescent in a press release. Today, for almost a month, civilians in Gaza, including children and women, have been besieged, deprived of aid, killed and driven from their homes by bombings, lamented Antonio Guterres in his press release. “This must stop”he urged, as the UN continues to call for “immediate humanitarian truce”.
