“Un p’tit truc en plus” passes the milestone of seven million spectators and enters the top 100 of the biggest French hits

The comedy A little something extrathe biggest French hit in theaters since the Covid-19 pandemic, has exceeded seven million admissions in just under seven weeks of operation, according to figures announced Sunday June 16 by Artus. “7 million thanks! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this crazy adventure!” he wrote in his publication.

Directed by the comedian who also stars in the film, this comedy with Clovis Cornillac and Alice Belaïdi aims to laugh with people with disabilities. Around ten amateur actors with disabilities respond to the professional casting, bringing that “little extra something” which had nevertheless put off certain cautious producers, according to Artus.

This new milestone places the film 96th among the biggest hits at the French box office. The film stands just behind Sky Fall, Sam Mendes’ James Bond or even Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban by Alfonso Cuarón and exceeds Avengers: Endgame by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and The Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson.
