The ultraliberal economist Javier Milei was elected president of Argentina on Sunday November 19 after his large victory with more than 55% of the votes. “It’s a historic night for Argentina”rejoiced the ultraliberal economist, fan of Donald Trump. “The impoverishing model of caste is over, today we are adopting the model of freedom, to become a world power again”added this personality “anti-system”.

“I am very proud of you. You will transform your country and make Argentina great again”, wrote Donald Trump on his social network Truth Social, before the publication of the official results. Milei, who defines himself as an anarcho-capitalist, has repeatedly stated that he does not “pacts with the communists”. “Congratulations to the Argentine people on Javier Milei’s victory. Hope shines again in South America”commented former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022).

United States “congratulate the President-elect of Argentina Javier Milei on his victory in the elections” on Sunday, declared the head of American diplomacy Antony Blinken, welcoming “the high participation and peaceful conduct of the vote”.
