Walid Regragui’s men offered a breathtaking spectacle to their supporters throughout the competition by bringing down the biggest nations of the World Cup. Unfortunately for them, Kylian Mbappé’s teammates seemed superior. Once the final whistle, the players of the two nations exchanged for a long time. Some cheered on their friends and club mates, while others swapped shirts. A good atmosphere reigned while this has not always been the case in certain places in France… Indeed, some clashes broke out and the worst happened. A teenager has succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car.
Since everyone knows that France was going to face Morocco, the call for calm was launched throughout the week, especially for the end of the match. But sometimes, a little too much calling for calm leads to some mistakes. Proof of this is with Yves Calvi who, wishing to do well, dropped a statement that did not please everyone. “For the grumpy people who are worried about possible excesses, let’s remember that Morocco is not Algeria, we were not divided by a colonial war”he said, on BFM-TV.
The journalist did not stop there and added: “Finally, the Moroccans are exactly like us in 1998, they have been waiting for a big victory for their team for so long…”. Remarks which did not fail to react, which some qualify as racist towards the Algerians. Slimane also seems to think the same. The artist, who announced good news about his tour, shared the video sequence on his Instagram account, accompanying it with a caption that said a lot: “no but still more…”
