Ukrainian soldiers relieved to receive Western weapons

Heavily fortified Russian positions

Opposite, the Russian positions are heavily fortified. “The enemies dug very hard, they stayed there for a year”, explains Aramis, a Ukrainian captain. In an attempt to dislodge the Russians, these soldiers use missiles supplied by the United States. Their peculiarity is a laser guidance system, which allows greater precision. But for the Ukrainian soldiers, these arms deliveries do not erase the bitterness of remaining on NATO’s doorstep.
