Ukrainian authorities are breaking their silence on ongoing operations in Russia. Two days after the start of an incursion into the territory, an adviser to the Ukrainian presidential administration spoke on the social network X, referring to a consequence of “the aggression” Russian in Ukraine. “The root cause of any escalation, any bombing, any military action, including in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, is only the unequivocal aggression of Russia”said Mykhailo Podoliak, without clearly attributing the attack to the Ukrainian army.
“Russia has always believed that restrictive legal norms do not apply to it and that it can therefore attack the territories of neighboring countries with impunity and hypocritically demand… the inviolability of its own territory.”he added.
“But war is war, with its own rules, the aggressor inevitably pays the corresponding consequences.”

The Ukrainian army launched the assault on Tuesday with up to 1,000 soldiers and armoured vehicles, the Russian General Staff said, ensuring that it is doing everything to push the Ukrainian soldiers out of its territory. According to several analysts, the Ukrainian advance is concentrated around Sudja, a Russian town of around 5,500 inhabitants located about ten kilometres from the border and which houses a gas station still supplying Europe via Ukraine.
