Black Sea: Ukrainian drones attack Russian boats

(FRANCE 2)

A Ukrainian kamikaze drone unit inflicted significant losses on Russia in the Black Sea. Thanks to them, Ukraine regained partial control of the Black Sea.

In the Black Sea, kamikaze aquatic drones attack Russian ships. The commander of this drone unit is called by the Ukrainians Agent 13. His identity must remain secret. At least seven Russian ships have been sunk or hit by drones and four others by missiles. This represents 20% of Moscow’s fleet in the Black Sea. These homemade drones are small and difficult to spot by the Russian air force.

A half-victory thanks to drones

Piloted remotely, they move at more than 60 km/h and skim the waves. Loaded with 300 kg of explosives, they are capable of sinking warships over 60 m long. Ukraine has partially regained control of the Black Sea. The Russians are kept away from the coast. This half-victory is possible thanks to maritime drones, but also thanks to the missiles delivered by the West. These drones represent a humiliation for Moscow and allow kyiv to show some victories.
