In Bakhmout, the Ukrainian army claimed to have carried out counter-attacks on Wednesday May 10, and to have pushed the Russian soldiers to retreat. The video was reportedly filmed on Tuesday May 9 in the Bakhmout region, according to Ukrainian authorities. A Russian soldier announces to a Ukrainian drone that he is laying down his arms. The rest of his regiment seems to have been hit hard. The soldier receives the instructions on a piece of paper: “Surrender, follow the drone”. Impossible to confirm the place and date of the scene, exploited by kyiv for its communication, but in recent days, Ukraine claims to have regained ground in Bakhmout. The leader of Wagner’s mercenaries recognized the enemy breakthrough on Thursday afternoon.
Turning into conflict
For nine months, Bakhmout has been the scene of a fierce battle. For the Ukrainians, it is a means of mobilizing the enemy on a front, wearing it down, inflicting heavy losses on it.
