“Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia”, proclaims Joe Biden in Warsaw

The American president responded to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, who assured Tuesday that his country would “achieve its objectives” in Ukraine.

Three days before the first anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Tuesday, February 21 turned into a verbal confrontation between the Russian and American leaders. While Vladimir Putin assured that his country would “reach [ses] goals” in this conflict, Joe Biden replied to him from Warsaw, Poland, that “Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia”.

“A dictator bent on rebuilding an empire can never erode a people’s love for freedom, brutality will never crush the will of those who want to remain free”insisted President Biden, in front of thousands of people gathered near the Royal Castle in Warsaw. “Putin’s thirst for territory and power will lead him to failure, Ukraine will win”claimed the tenant of the White House.

“kyiv is strong, kyiv is proud, it stands tall and, above all, it is free.”

Speaking a day after his surprise trip to the Ukrainian capital, the US head of state responded to an anti-Western speech delivered Tuesday morning by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “The West is not plotting to attack Russia as Putin said todayhe assured. The millions of Russian citizens who just want to live in peace with their neighbors are not the enemy.”

Vladimir Poutine “thought autocrats like him were tough and democratic leaders were soft, then he came up against the iron will of America and nations around the world who refuse to accept a world ruled by fear”did he declare.

The official visit to Poland is Joe Biden’s second in the past twelve months. He is due to meet the leaders of nine countries on NATO’s eastern flank in Warsaw on Wednesday.
