The Europeans meet in Prague, Czech Republic, on Friday 7 October.

The night was short for Emmanuel Macron in Prague (Czech Republic). The President of the Republic negotiated in a small committee until three o’clock in the morning with Azerbaijan and Armenia, two countries which figured on the list of countries invited on Thursday 6 October to the launch of the European Political Community. At the end of this meeting, the two countries, which are in open conflict, accepted the arrival of a mission from the European Union, in order to work on their common border.

Friday, October 7, the discussions will start in a more restricted format between leaders of the European Union, with two major subjects on the menu. First of all Ukraine, and the sending of military equipment. France announced the delivery of new guns. The other subject is energy. Several avenues are on the table to lower prices. A cap on gas prices and a renegotiation of prices with foreign suppliers, in particular Norway. The Twenty-Seven are also thinking about setting up a European mechanism to help the most vulnerable citizens and businesses difficultyexplains the journalist from France Télévisions, Julien Gasparutto, from Prague.
