Teachers, doctors, subway drivers… as the country is shaken by the biggest protests in its history, the new Conservative government is unveiling its budget with one key word: get the country back to work. “Due to changing international factors and the actions I am taking, the UK will not enter a technical recession this year”says Jeremy Hunt, British Finance Minister.

In Germany, the carbon footprint is disappointing. Nine-euro train tickets, electric cars and rising fuel prices will not have been enough. Since the end of Covid, CO2 emissions on the road have picked up again. In Poland, suspended prison sentence for a woman who sent an abortion pill to a woman in distress. Justyna received an eight-month suspended prison sentence. “I don’t feel guilty at all, I listened to the verdict as if it didn’t concern me”she said.
