After the Pogacar-Vingegaard duo in 2023, Paris-Nice offers a new tempting duel, until Sunday March 10, between Primoz Roglic and Remco Evenepoel. From Mureaux to Nice, the peloton has a week to shine and make an impression. “We have a condensed version of the Tour de France in eight days, even more in 2024 because the Tour will end in Nice due to the Olympic Games”recalls the director of the Tour, Christian Prudhomme.

New leader of Bora-Hansgrohe, Primoz Roglic, winner of the event in 2022, is offered his first challenge under his new colors. His biggest rival will be the Belgian Remco Evenepoel, reigning world champion, for whom this will be his first lap in France among professionals, and who has made this race his “objective n°1”.

After two sprint finishes during the two stages, the third is a team time trial around Auxerre. The runners will have to cross the Côte de Jussy, 2.3 kilometers at almost 5% average slope, at the top of which is the only intermediate point of the event. Unlike what is usually done, the team’s time will be counted on the first runner who crosses the finish line.
