The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, made a first major transaction on Monday by sending Tyler Toffoli to the Calgary Flames. He gets Flames forward Tyler Pitlick, prospect Emil Heineman as well as a first-round pick and a fifth-round pick.

Tyler Pitlick is the older brother of Rem Pitlick, who was released on waivers in January.
