Two young men aged 15 and 18 were indicted for “terrorist criminal conspiracy with a view to preparing crimes against people” on Sunday May 12, after having mentioned “plans for coordinated attacks” on social networks, franceinfo learned on Friday from the national anti-terrorism prosecution, confirming information from RTL.
These two young boys, “obviously committed to jihadist ideology” according to the national anti-terrorism prosecution, are from the Grand Est and Occitanie. They had exchanged “since several weeks” messages on social networks, discussing these attack plans “short term”.
The first man, aged 18, was placed in pre-trial detention while the second, aged 15, was placed under judicial supervision. The investigations were entrusted to the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).
