It was on Twitter that this short video, 10 seconds, was posted on Friday March 4, in the evening. A video, presented by the Twitter account of Tajmaât, a collaborative and community platform for North Africans, as “controversial”. We see two young people, who according to the Taâjmat account “make fun of Islam by imitating Muslims”. It takes place in a room that looks like a classroom. We hear the word prophet, laughter and we see an adult in a tie filming the scene. According to the Tajmaât account, the scene would take place in an establishment in La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée). Tajmaât challenges the Nantes Academy : “Wouldn’t there be a problem there?”
Notre-Dame-du-Roc high school will file a complaint for defamation
At first, it is written that this scene would have been filmed at Lycée Mendes-France. This Saturday noon, management has not yet responded to our messages. Then in another post, the Tajmaât account mentions Notre-Dame-du-Roc high school. Contacted byFrance Blue Loire Ocean, director Serge Daniel denies. He lets know that “This video does not concern the Lycée Notre Dame du Roc. It was not filmed in the establishment. We will therefore file a complaint for defamation.”
The Nantes Academy denies any involvement of the two high schools mentioned
Also contacted, the Tajmaât account manager has not yet responded to our requests. Shortly before 1 p.m., in an email, the Nantes academy let it be known “that after verification, the video was not shot in any of the two establishments mentioned.”
In October, in Nantes, police patrols had to be deployed near the Guist’hau high school after the broadcast on the internet of a video of a private party during which young people parodied a Muslim prayer.
