The government had given up, this summer, to establish a technical control for motorcycles. The Council of State challenged this decision, because it is an application of the European rule. The government took act, but has not yet set a new date.

The government had canceled the technical control of two-wheelers, the Council of State has just restored it, Monday, October 31, in application of a European directive. The announcement is far from unanimous among bikers. “It’s nonsense, for me it’s still a tax, one more, life is already expensive enough”thinks a biker. In theory, technical control on two-wheelers from 125cm3 comes into effect immediately. But the Council of State grants a deadline to the public power without setting a deadline.

The government delays the news and claims to have taken note of it. The technical control will not apply this evening since it takes application texts for the decree “declares David Valence, related deputy Renaissance of the Vosges. The associations fear that the government will play for time and put pressure on the executive. “If nothing is put in place in the coming months, then we will ask for a penalty payment of one million euros per month for non-implementation of the technical control”entrusts Franck-Olivier Torrospokesperson for the collective Ras Le Scooter.
