Two people riding the same motorcycle suffered very serious injuries in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Friday afternoon in Oka, in the Laurentians.
The accident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Route 344 – which also bears the name of Chemin d’Oka – not far from the intersection of Chemin des Collines.
The 63-year-old motorcyclist would have badly negotiated a curve and would have found himself in the opposite lane, before hitting head-on the car which was coming in the opposite direction.
The impact was very violent.
The driver of the motorcycle suffered very serious injuries, as did his 50-year-old passenger. Both were taken to hospital in very critical condition.
A portion of Route 344 was completely closed to traffic to allow police to conduct their investigation.
