Two unreleased tracks by Johnny Hallyday revealed more than six years after his death

These two pieces were revealed on Thursday. The songs “Reste” and “Waterloo” were written in the early 1970s.

The pieces were found at the Olympic Sound Studio in London, more than 50 years after their creation. Two unreleased songs by Johnny Hallyday, recorded in the 1970s and which were until now forgotten, were revealed exclusively by BFMTV on Thursday February 15. The titles, titled Stay And Waterloo, will appear on a reissue of the disc In the actto be released Friday February 16.

In the actthe 14th studio album of the “youth idol”, was first released in 1971. Like the rest of the titles, the two unreleased tracks were written by the journalist, writer and lyricist Philippe Labro. “LFinding him wasn’t easy.” writes the BFMTV website. Xavier Perrot, artistic manager of the Hallyday catalog at Universal, interviewed by the channel, explains that “the tapes of this album were not given in the name of Johnny Hallyday but of Lee Halliday, the album’s producer.”
