Police guards are “in progress” in the investigation into the shootings which had “mortally wounded” a father on Sunday in Dijon (Côte-d’Or), declared the city’s prosecutor’s office, Saturday December 2. Two suspects were arrested at the Spanish border, the prosecutor told Radio France, confirming information from The Independent.

Investigators tracked the suspects as they attempted to reach Spain. Their custody is “likely to continue until Monday morning”specifies the prosecution.

The victim, a fifty-year-old, was fatally shot on the night of November 25 to 26 while she was sleeping in her apartment, victim “collateral” shots targeting a deal point located in his building, according to investigators.

A CRS company was sent as reinforcement to Dijon on Monday. On Wednesday, four people were arrested, and around twenty anti-narcotics operations were carried out.
