Two people died in the crash of an aircraft at the level of the town of Frontenex, near the aerodrome of Albertville, in Savoie, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie on Thursday August 25. The two victims are a minor and another adult.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the device, a motorized glider, crashed this Thursday around 1:15 p.m. just after takeoff, along the A430 motorway in the Albertville-Chambéry direction, on “the shoulder” near the Saint-Hélène-sur-Isère tollbooth.

There is debris on the tracks, and the highway is closed to traffic in the Albertville-Chambéry direction, up to the Sainte-Hélène toll, for an indefinite period. “A kerosene patch will be cleaned during the highway closure”adds the prefecture, which calls motorists “to the greatest caution and respect for deviations”. Significant emergency resources were mobilized: around twenty firefighters, the Albertville SMUR, as well as the Dragon 73 helicopter.
