Two Quebec series rewarded at Cannes

Wednesday, Audrey came back won two prizes at the Cannes festival, which brings together productions from all over the world. The dramatic comedy by the tandem of authors Florence Longpré and Guillaume Lambert won the Grand Prix Dior, which rewards the originality and innovation of a production.

Club illico’s offering also won the Special Performance Prize. This trophy is awarded to all the actors, which includes, in addition to Florence Longpré, Josée Deschênes, Denis Bouchard, Joanie Guérin, Dominic St-Laurent, Zeneb Blanchet and Martin David Peters.

Released last fall, the series Audrey came back paints the portrait of a woman coming out of a coma after 15 long years.

As for the short formats, the jury nominated Rosalie Vaillancourt Révélation for Completely high schoola quirky parody of the series for teenagers that can be seen on noovo.ca.
