Two police officers have been hanging following the broadcast of a video. We see a man sprayed with tear gas by a crew in a police car. The facts took place on the night of July 14 to 15 in Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis).

The two suspended police officers are part of the Epinay-sur-Seine police station. They had come in reinforcement of another crew taken to task at Le Bourget, as part of the urban violence on the night of July 13 to 14, 2022, explains a police source.

the IGPN entered

Following the publication of the video, the Paris police headquarters seized the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN). “Officials once identified will be subject to suspension“, had specified the prefecture of police in a press release.

The IGPN was also seized by the Bobigny public prosecutor of a criminal investigation for violence with a weapon by a person holding public authority.

In the video, we can see a police vehicle backing up and move forward again to stop at the level of a man on a sidewalk, holding bags in his hands. A member of the crew sprays him at point-blank range with tear gas. The police car drives off immediately afterwards, leaving the man alone. He is seen screaming and collapsing to the ground afterwards.
