In Germany, a banal road check turned tragic on the night of January 30 to 31, 2022. Two young police officers were shot dead by motorists who fled. This took place near the town of Kouzel. Significant resources have been deployed to find the criminals.
Heavily armed police and investigators searching for clues near a country road. Shortly after 4 a.m. this morning of January 31, 2022, it was not far from this road that a banal police check turned tragic. In a radio message, two police officers said they had stopped a suspicious vehicle with dead game in their trunk. In a final radio message, “the colleagues just had time to warn that there were gunshots”.
When help arrived on the scene, one was dying, the other already deceased. “There is no trace of the car or the criminals”, indicates Bernhard Christian Erfort, spokesperson for the police. The two police officers were 24 and 29 years old. The research has just been extended to several regions and the investigators have launched calls for witnesses. They have no description, neither of the criminals nor of their car.
