Two people were stabbed within minutes of each other on Tuesday night in Montreal.
The first attack occurred on rue Hochelaga, near rue Liébert, in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve when a man in his sixties was stabbed in the upper body, explained Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The victim’s life is not threatened, said the SPVM.
The first attack occurred a few moments later on boulevard Gouin, in the Pierrefonds sector, when a man in his twenties was attacked with a knife.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was in critical but stable condition.
Inquiries have been opened to try to elucidate these two events. No suspects were arrested in either case.
