Two people, domiciled in the Paris region and “likely to be linked to the author of the attack” committed on October 16 in Brussels, were indicted for “criminal terrorist association” and placed in pre-trial detention on Monday, franceinfo learned on Tuesday October 24 from the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office. These two people were born in Tunisia, a source close to the investigation told franceinfo.
The Pnat indicated Monday that “investigations are continuing to clarify their links” with the author of the attack, Abdesalem Lassoued, a 45-year-old radicalized Tunisian, who killed two Swedes with weapons of war, on the sidelines of the Belgium-Sweden football match, on October 16 in Brussels, three days later the Arras attack. The killer died shortly after his arrest.
Two other people were also arrested on Thursday in Loire-Atlantique and Maine-et-Loire but were released.
