Two people arrested in Nantes in a case of heroin trafficking

Two individuals were brought to justice this Saturday in Nantes, they are accused of importing and trafficking narcotics in recidivism, participation in a criminal association in recidivism, acquisition and possession of weapons. Heroin trafficking between the Netherlands and France, it is a simple control in Angers that allowed these arrests.

The Angers customs brigade checks a car on Wednesday at the Corze toll booth in Maine et Loire. They then discover two kilos of heroin in the vehicle. So the investigators do the link with an investigation launched in September by the Unit for the Fight against Narcotics and the Underground Economy of the Departmental Security of Nantes.

Immediate reaction from the police with several searches and arrests in the neighborhoods of Bellevue and Dervallières. Two young people aged 24 and 28 are arrested. 30 kilos of cannabis resin, 580 grams of cocaine and 300 grams of heroin are found in their home. But also, three bulletproof vests, two automatic pistols a hunting rifle and ammunition.

In police custody they remain almost silent. The two are not at their first attempt. Brought to justice yesterday, they face up to 20 years in prison. While awaiting their judgment, the prosecutor has requested their remand in custody in view of their files already loaded in this kind of case.

Investigators continue their investigations. Several arrests and searches should take place in the coming days. This concerns other people who would be involved in this trafficking.
