Two Palestinians were killed on Monday (October 3rd) by Israeli forces near Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a brief statement.
The two Palestinians, whose identity has not been released, were killed “by bullets” by Israeli soldiers near the Jalazoun refugee camp, located just outside Ramallah where the Palestinian Authority is based.
The Israeli army explains for its part that it opened fire and “neutralized two suspects” having “tent” to carry out a vehicular attack against soldiers in Jalazoun after the arrest on the spot “of an individual suspected of terrorist activity”.
Two gun attacks injured two – a motorist and an Israeli soldier – in the occupied West Bank on Sunday. They intervened near the city of Nablus, the scene of a recent wave of violence and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces. Dozens of Palestinians, including members of armed groups, have been killed in the West Bank, territory occupied since 1967 by Israel, in Israeli army operations which have multiplied in the wake of a series of anti-Israeli attacks having caused a total of 20 deaths between mid-March and May.
