Two newborns found ‘asphyxiated’ in freezer

This Sunday, March 20, 2022, the police made a terrible discovery in the freezer of a house located in Marolles-en-Brie, in Val-de-Marne. Indeed, the bodies of two babies have been found. The next day, an autopsy was performed on the deceased newborns in order to find out more about the circumstances of their death. According to the latest information relayed by our colleagues from Le Parisien, scientists have reported death by “asphyxiation” linked to “pressure”. Everything suggests that it is indeed a criminal act.

The owners of the house are therefore singled out. The woman was notably placed in police custody, but does not seem to want to collaborate. The newspaper reports that she is not very talkative and has a “mute attitude”. According to what she was able to confide to the police during her arrest, she would have made a pregnancy denial following a one-night stand. His companion, a police officer in his thirties, would therefore not be the father of the children. The latter has also explained to his colleagues that he was not aware of the situation. For him, this discovery was a real shock.

The couple had made the decision to settle in Marolles-en-Brie the year before the tragedy. According to the neighbors, they weren’t the fussy type at all. On the contrary, the duo was even very pleasant. For the moment, many points still need to be clarified by the investigators. In particular the age of infants, but also the date of their death. DNA analyzes are underway to determine the paternity of the babies. To be continued…
