(Edmonton) The NHL has postponed two games due to COVID-19 issues and the move affected the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils.
The Oilers’ home game against the Ottawa Senators, scheduled for Monday, will instead take place at Rogers Place on Saturday, the NHL said in a statement.
A new resumption date for Monday’s duel between the Devils and the Tampa Bay Lightning has yet to be determined.
The Oilers put forwards Warren Foegele and Tyler Benson in NHL protocols on Sunday, a day after five of their teammates and six members of the organization were added to the roster.
Sunday’s practice was canceled, the Oilers said.
Meanwhile, the Senators have only played one game since December 18. They won’t resume action until Thursday night in Calgary.
