Three people, suspected of having kidnapped and kidnapped two young girls aged 15 and 17 to force them into prostitution, were arrested on Saturday February 10, franceinfo learned on Sunday February 11 from a source close to the case, confirming information from Le Parisien. The three suspects, two men and a woman, were immediately taken into police custody, the Paris prosecutor’s office told franceinfo.

According to a close source, the events took place on Sunday afternoon, around 4:40 p.m., in the 19th arrondissement of Paris in an apartment located on avenue de Flandres. It was the Minor Protection Brigade of the Paris police headquarters which intervened with the police officers from the 19th police station.

Suspects under the influence of alcohol

Friday February 9, the father of one of the victims received a call from his daughter who had run away from home on January 16. To her father, she indicated that she had been kidnapped and that she was being held captive. Investigators managed to geolocate the young girl’s phone. This made it possible to arrest the suspects in this apartment in the 19th arrondissement of the capital.

On their arrival, the investigators were greeted by three people, alcoholic. One of the men brandished a bladed weapon. The police then responded with a stun gun and managed to subdue him.

Custody lifted for young woman

The three suspects, two men aged 25 and 30 and a 22-year-old woman, were taken into police custody on Saturday evening, said the prosecution. The woman’s custody was lifted on Sunday during the day, the investigations having cleared her of the charges. The two men’s police custody was extended this Sunday evening.

The prosecution specifies that at this stage, the investigations, entrusted to the minor protection brigade of the police headquarters (DRPJ), do not reveal any notion of kidnapping or sequestration.
