Two men shot in Montreal

(Montreal) Montreal police are investigating two separate incidents where men were shot during the night.

The most recent event occurred around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, outside bars, following an argument between two men in their twenties on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, near Milton Street, in the Milton district. -Park.

“A 24-year-old man was reportedly hit by a firearm projectile following a verbal altercation. The suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired at the victim, who was transported to a hospital,” said officer Raphaël Bergeron, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

We do not fear for the life of the young man who suffered serious injuries to the lower body.

The motive for the crime is unknown. The wanted suspect is also believed to be in his twenties.

A few hours earlier, around 12:40 a.m., a little further west, a man showed up at his victim’s home on MacDonald Avenue, in the Côte-des-Neiges district.

“A person knocks on the door of the victim’s apartment. The victim reopens the door of his apartment and it is at this moment that he is hit by projectiles from a firearm in the lower body,” said Officer Bergeron.

The victim is a 34-year-old man. He was conscious when taken to hospital, but there are no fears for his life despite the severity of the injuries.

Again, the motive for the crime is unknown.

The SPVM is investigating these two armed attacks.
