It was the quantity of butter, rather unusual, which put the flea in the ear of the gendarmes. Saturday January 15, a little after 5.30 p.m., they check a car that is going a little too fast, at the level of Pont-de-l’Isere, in the Drôme. Both Georgians on board carry in their trunk 80 sticks of butter, but also Kinder sweets and Snickers, without being able to present an invoice.
The gendarmes place them in police custody for concealment. They discover that the two men have been arrested the previous week after a theft at Auchan in Guilherand-Granges and that they are under a recall.
For now, we do not know where these products come from. Both men are still in custody.
