In our Dutch neighbors, a huge controversy came to interrupt the broadcast of a television program. Indeed, following two complaints of sexual assault filed by candidates against a juror of The Voice Holland, chain RTL decided to abruptly end the current season.
If the rapper Ali B., the artist and the coach targeted by the two complaints, denies the facts which have been brought to him since the public testimony of the women on January 20, 2023, the channel has decided to interrupt the program insofar as the artist is not the only one to be singled out by former candidates of the program.
Jeroen Rietbergen, the leader of the group that accompanies the artists who apply for the show, was also quoted by women who denounced “the inappropriate behavior” of the latter.
Denunciations which prompted the conductor to resign from his post before admitting to having had “contacts of a sexual nature with women involved in the program and WhatsApp messages of a sexual nature”.

Dutch Prime Minister speaks
In Holland, this case obviously shakes the whole country. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte was quick to speak out, calling the allegations against the program “unacceptable” and calling for a full investigation.
