SHERBROOKE | Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois persists and signs: the election campaign looks more and more like a two-way fight between Quebec solidaire and the CAQ of François Legault.

“I think that we are in the process, in Quebec solidaire – and I say we are in the process – of establishing ourselves as the alternative to the CAQ”, hammered the co-spokesperson of the left party, at the day after a large militant rally in Sherbrooke.
An hour before the start of this evening show, which sold out at the Granada Theatre, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, seeing a long line outside, indicated that the electoral race at the national level looks more and more like in the race for two which takes place in Sherbrooke, where the outgoing solidarity MP faces, among others, the caquiste Caroline St-Hilaire.

Several of his opponents were quick to criticize his analysis. “Presumptuous”, quickly reacted the PQ Pascal Bérubé, a term taken up Sunday morning by its leader, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon.

“What I notice in terms of the dynamics of the election campaign is that from the start and especially since the leaders’ debate, François Legault has spent a lot of time attacking Québec solidaire,” added Ms. Nadeau-Dubois, Sunday, when questioned about his statement the day before.
Two visions
“I think that reveals what is at stake for the future of Quebec, he continued. There are two visions that are in contrast with each other, there are two teams, that of the solidarity, that of François Legault, who is more and more revealed.
“When we look at the time that François Legault spends criticizing the proposals of Québec solidaire, when we look at the negative publicity campaign he launched to attack Québec solidaire, I see the dynamic that I see since the leaders’ debate , it is more and more two visions that clash, that of the solidarity, that of the caquistes, ”he analyzed.
It is therefore again and again towards François Legault that the solidarity leader intends to direct his attacks, during the next leaders’ debate, Thursday evening.
“My main opponent in this campaign is François Legault, that’s what I’ve been saying since the beginning of the campaign, it’s still the case today,” said Mr. Nadeau-Dubois.
