Two lost hikers rescued by firefighters in Collias

The Gard firefighters intervened to rescue two hikers who had gotten lost as night approached, right bank of the Gardon, in the town of Collias this Friday evening shortly after 6 p.m. Thanks to the rescue services, the two women, aged 24 and 61, were geolocated in a place that was difficult to access. The situation required the winching of the two hikers and their accompanying dogs, using the reinforcement of a helicopter civil security and the specialized unit for intervention in dangerous environments. The two women and their dogs were thus able to join their families. No one was hurt. The operation lasted three hours.
