Two men were transported to hospital Tuesday evening in Quebec after suffering an attack in a home in Lower Town.
The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) reports that one of the two men was stabbed during attacks that occurred during a home robbery. On Wednesday, the SPVQ reported that the two men aged 37 and 42 will survive.
The break-in occurred early in the evening in a home on Saint-Sauveur Street, in the neighborhood of the same name.
The SPVQ affirms that several information and criminal intelligence leads it to believe that this could be an event linked to recent conflicts between criminal groups in the Quebec region.
No arrests had been announced as of early morning.
The investigation was also entrusted to SPVQ police officers grouped within the Malsain project, an initiative launched in February 2019 in order to counter an increase in violence linked to drug trafficking by organized crime.
