Two injured in a collision in Chaudière-Appalaches

A man and a woman were transported to a hospital center to treat serious injuries after a collision between their respective vehicles on Sunday mid-afternoon in Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley, in Chaudière-Appalaches.

According to Hélène St-Pierre, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, a man in his forties was traveling on route 260 west, not far from 10e Rang, when for an unexplained reason, he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the car of a motorist who was coming in the opposite direction.

“Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec of the MRC of Beauce-Sartigan, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene,” testifies Mme St Pierre.

The two motorists were alone in their vehicle.

The man suffered serious injuries and it is not known whether he is in critical condition at this time.

The woman suffered significant injuries, but they did not endanger her life, said M.me St Pierre.

By mid-evening, the road was still closed to traffic while a collision reconstructionist inspected the accident scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the collision.
