In order to avoid any contact between defendants in the jails of the Toulon police station during the time of police custody, the investigators distribute them in different police offices in the arrondissement of Toulon. This is a very common procedure in this type of business and it goes smoothly, of course, in the majority of cases.
This explains why one of those in custody was taken to the Sanary police station on Wednesday evening to spend the night there. According to information collected by France Bleu Provence, it was on his arrival on site, in the parking lot, that the individual managed to flee into the streets of the seaside town, without the police managing to get their hands on him. .
Same thing two days later in slightly different circumstances, this time within the Guard police office itself. Another individual made the beauty at the end of his audition. He violently jostled the policeman who had just heard him, before jumping from the first floor through a window and fleeing towards a wooded area. An attitude that once again illustrates the determination of these individuals not to be accountable. During the wave of arrests in the city, one of the defendants had not hesitated to slip from the fourth floor of a building to try to escape the police.
Two escapes in the same case which plunges the Departmental Directorate of Public Security of Var into embarrassment, especially since this wave of arrests illustrated the long-term work accomplished in the fight against drug trafficking. The Toulon Public Prosecutor’s Office also declined to comment.
