Two hikers, two men, died on Sunday morning after having wandered into the Chorde corridor, in Servoz, in Haute-Savoie, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.

The two men escaped around 11:40 a.m., Sunday February 4, according to emergency services. Two rescuers from the Chamonix PGHM and a doctor from the Mont Blanc hospitals went to the site with a CMBH (Chamonix Mont-Blanc Hélicoptère) helicopter.
Emergency services noted the death of the two men, whose ages are not yet known. An investigation was opened by the Bonneville public prosecutor’s office to establish the circumstances of the accident and to find out more about their identities.
