An investigation has been opened for attempted murder of a person holding public authority. The driver, of English nationality, is still actively sought this Thursday evening.
Around 4.30 p.m., the two gendarmes intercepted an Audi A3 registered in Great Britain. They want to verify that the driver is indeed the owner of a private property, then undergoing a health inspection.
It was when the soldiers wanted to check the papers that the driver restarted, hitting the two gendarmes “passing over the hood”, says the Ministry of the Interior. One suffers from several facial fractures, the other is more slightly injured.
