Since Friday June 14, Marie-Pierre and Françoise, two French women aged 63 and 73, on vacation on the island of Sikinos, in the Cyclades (Greece), have no longer given any sign of life.

What happened to the two French tourists who disappeared on the Greek island of Sikinos? This is the question that many Greek media are asking themselves. Marie-Pierre and Françoise have not given any sign of life for four days. They met during their stay on the Cyclades island, where 250 inhabitants live. Friday June 14, on exchanges that France Télévisions obtained, Françoise, 73, tried to contact the owner of her hotel, in vain.

The hotelier called her back an hour later, without being able to understand her. “I tried to communicate, but she spoke French”remembers Ilias Gavanas, the owner of the establishment. “I only speak English and Greek (…) she didn’t understand me, she seemed lost”, he adds. The septuagenarian then informed him by message that she had fallen, and sent him a photo of herself lying down, before no longer responding. The latter would be accompanied by Marie-Pierre, 63, whose family assures that she is an experienced hiker.
